Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a 4-star, privately owned hotel within the East Midlands

Mechanical / Electrical and Plumbing Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the hotel complex including guest rooms,staff offices, plant and boiler rooms and associated building spaces
  • Good knowledge of HVAC is essential as well as water systems - temp testing and L8Legionella
  • Good Building Services M&E knowledge in a commercial/hospitality environment
  • Plumbing maintenance and repairs
  • General upkeep of the Hotel and associated buildings and fabric across occupied buildings
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested
  • Able to attend out of hours

Mechanical Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Training

  • Qualified in Mechanical Engineering and/or Plumbing & Heating; HNC/HND or NVQ Level 2/3
  • 3+ years’ experience in the Commercial/Hospitality sector
  • Excellent knowledge of HVAC and Water

Salary commensurate with experience

Receptionist

We are seeking a friendly, experienced hotel receptionist to join our growing team at our 4 star hotel. In this position, you will welcome guests to our hotel, making future reservations for them, and generally attending to any needs during their stay. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring that guests experience maximum satisfaction, presenting an excellent image of our hotel that leaves a lasting impression.

Hotel Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet hotel guests; answer any questions or concerns
  • Provide an outstanding guest experience
  • Maintain an orderly front desk
  • Operate computer programs and multi-line phone systems
  • Maintain guest records and book reservations
  • Complete basic cashier and bookkeeping responsibilities
  • Contact necessary staff to solve problems when challenges arise, ensuring guest comfort

Hotel Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Significant experience handling guest service responsibilities, preferably in a hotel/reception setting
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Rezlynx and all other relevant computer programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Fluent in English
  • Proactive approach to dealing with issues that may arise
  • Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize and work under pressure
